Covid 19: Our Status and Policy

Updated 31/12/2020

The latest increase in the C-19 infection rate has led the Club committee to want to express its feelings to members. As Swanwick Divers we want to do our utmost to protect lives and to get back to being free to practice our sport as soon as possible.
Therefore Club diving will follow government tier guidelines to the letter. We also will not dive in areas where emergency services are already under high pressure, even if in theory we could.
We recognise that in their private diving members have to decide for themselves what they will do but we would like to ask that all our members work on the same principles.
As almost all the country is currently in either tier 3 or 4 at the time of writing the crucial points are:
* Tier 3
Where possible, you should stay local and avoid travelling outside your local area, meaning your village or town, or part of a city.
* Tier 4
You must stay at home and not leave your Tier 4 area, other than for legally permitted reasons.
On behalf of the committee may I also wish all of Swanwick Divers a happy New Year, however you can celebrate it, and here's to a recovery in 2021!
