Wrecks and Reefs trip. We have booked the whole boat for 20 divers and 20+ have so far shown interest. I will be diving manifolded twin 12’s [£90 for the week] and nitrox, [£60 for the week]. Side mounts £75 for the week for those divers on side mount otherwise single 12’s included or £40 for a 15litre. Re-breather friendly but they need several months notice to get the sofnolime out there.
£1350 [plus the above extras if you choose], plus £25 Egyptian visa booked in advance, collected at the airport. Includes Airport Transfers, full board accommodation, all diving, cylinders and weights including flights, beverages and soft drinks on board.
Whirlwind is a 5 star Red Sea Liveaboard at affordable prices. Diving the best wrecks and reefs of the Red Sea.
The deposit is £250. Final balance payment by 3rd March 2019. This would suit AOW and above, having done Deep speciality, but much of the reef diving is shallow and most of the wrecks are 21-26m, with 29m on Thistlegorm. Aiming to do up to 4 dives per day, if you choose to, before breakfast, before lunch, before tea then a night dive. As the crew refill the cylinders after each dive the open circuit Divers can really enjoy good duration for exploration.
Breakfast on board last day then transfer to the Hilton to use their day facilities and buffet lunch, showers etc.
I started diving as a youngster with mask, snorkel and fins in the Solent and trained as a teenager with BSAC. I had a break training to be a Doctor and retrained in the late 1980’s at Andark, initially with BSAC becoming Advanced Diver/Assistant Instructor. I crossed over to TDI to become a Full Trimix Diver [no separation in those days] and SDI/TDI Instructor in Advanced Nitrox/Decompression procedures and Extended Range. I was a PADI Dive Master for 10 years and became a PADI IDC Staff Instructor, working in several Dive Operations. I’m currently an HSE SCUBA and Surface Supplied Diver, PSAI Technical Instructor 111 and BSAC Open Water Instructor. I continue to be a member of the UK Sports Diving Medical Committee. I dive regularly in the UK and I’ve dived worldwide and hope to complete my 2000th Dive this year. I helped to set up Swanwick Divers as the Diving Officer, I’m leading on Open Circuit diving 0-40m and Diver Development. I’m very interested in Maritime Archaeology and my main interest is Twinset wreck Diving. I want to build a leading Diving Club known for being excellent.
